Fingerprint

Pictures of Fingerprints
(Can you guess the pattern)

Sample of a Fingerprint Card

The information on a finger print card must be typed or printed legibly. There can not be any marks or highlighters used on the card. The information in each block must be filled out correctly. If the card is not filled out correctly, it can delay results.

This is an example of an FBI card

Fingerprint

What is a Fingerprint?

A fingerprint is an impression of the underside of the end of a finger or thumb. Your fingerprint is very unique, because no two people have the same pattern. A fingerprint is used to identify a person. There are two ways to identify a person by using the fingerprint method. The first way is by using your fingers and thumbs. The second method is by using palm prints and footprints, this method is used on infants.

How the Fingerprint method works?

Traditionally, impressions have been taken from a person using ink and paper, but in live-scan fingerprinting electronic images produced by a video scanner are converted by computer into binary codes, which can be more readily compared. How fingerprints are used in our daily lives

1. In Crime Investigation

2. To prevent identity theft

3. To prove identity of a dead person

English: Component Poem

Questions Answers

1.) Some examples of people who must obey an authority figure. Even though they may not want to: When your commander tells you to drop and give him one-hundred push-ups and you do not feel like doing it that doing it that day. Another is, when your parents gives you a curfew even though you feel like staying out or staying up a little later. Last, when an officer ask you to leave the scene and you want to stay and be noisy.

2.) Yes military commanders should enforce harsh discipline on their soldiers to train and prepare them mentally and physically for wartime.

3.)Yes it is important for a military outfit to work as a team. Although they have a responsibility to the group. This is what they call a team player or a group discipline, looking out for one another.

4.) The consequence of a commander that is unable to keep his or her troops under control during wartime will not be prepared or ready to protect themselves or their teammate. Therefore, they would not have a chance of surviving.

Poem

The music and the poem goes hand in hand because the melody of the music plays up to what is happening in the poem. First, the tone plays soft metal music which is said to be the calm before the storm. This means there preparing mind, body, and soul to fight the war. Next, there is a upbeat which leads up to the soldiers fighting. Finally, the tone ends in a happy beat which means the war is over.

How has science and technology made wars impersonal, especially as it relates to technology? Science and technology made wars impersonal due to the fact that heavy and light mechanical vehicles, guns, and search units. Even though the issue is personal their war uses of attack doesn't seem that personal but like a riot in a city due to the fact that we and maybe other countries are fighting without declaring war. In my opinion the fighting style now after 9/11/2001 about a few years now is like bully vs kid, gang vs gang, and race vs race in a fight to prove who's stronger.

Likewise, what is the human impact of war - both domestically and personally? (Consider the perspective of a soldier in combat - a civilian in combat - and a civilian at home watching the combat.) The human impact about the war domestically and personally is the lost of combat soldiers at war believing in what there doing and trying to protect and make the country safe. The civilians in combat wouldn't be prepared for a disastrous fight that could result to them losing their lives. The civilians watching the combat would be confused because they believe the war should never happen, or they fell that they would lose their loved ones and feel they shouldn't be there, and then in the end part of them applaud the combat soldiers to protect them and the country.

How did your knowledge of the gas laws govern your design elements in reference to the cannon construction? My knowledge of gas laws helped designed the cannon by units needed such as the force, volume, pressure, and temperature. Using Gay-Lussac's Gas Law I can find the volume that is needed for the cannon by the size and height of our cannon by pressure 1 times temperature 2 divided by temperature 1. By using Charles Gas Law I can examine the temperature of the cannon which could affect the shot, and I could solve it by volume 1 times Temperature 2 divided by temperature 1. Using Boyle's Gas Law I can find the pressure needed for the cannon because of the size of the cannon by volume 1 times pressure 1 divided by pressure 2. The force is the way needed to shot the cannon far which can result in a far shot, a little shot, or no shot at all.

Specifically, how do/did pressure, volume, and temperature play a role in designing the most efficient cannon? The efficient cannon has the use of volume, pressure, and temperature to design, decide, and calculate the firing. The pressure can tell between the cannon either being fired out the cannon, exploded, or fired correctly to the designated area or shot somewhere else you don't want it to go. The temperature will determine the heat of cannon fired with can affect the area of the shot which could end up more destructively which can or will increase the fire pressure of the shot. The volume will calculate the trajectory of the angle, the correct height needed to be set at, the with of the cannon's fire, and a better accuracy of where it could land.

Cannon Plannng

Procedure

1.) Rip of the plastic material on easch bottle.

2.) Cut off one of the top lid lids of either bottle.

3.) Place 4 pieces of tape in the shooting cannon.

4.) Cut off a piece of the shooting cannon ( about 15%).

5.) Place the lid where the tape is secured at.

6.) Proclaim the angle needed to fire the cannon.

7.) Proclaim the angle needed to combine the cannon.

8.) Cut off the left over peace.

9.) Cut of a side of the stand.

10.) Tape the shooting cannon to the stand.

Results

The The Mini Monster cannon didn't fire a inch, the distance was 0, and it didn't gain the name Mini Monster Flyer. The reason why the cannon didn't fire was because the day we tried to fire it the temperature was cold outside which may have reacted with the firing. The use we had used to fire was ethanol liquid and CO2 which would of helped it fire on a warm day. Even though it didn't fire due to the cold air our cannon melted the ball. The cold air did the same affect for all cannons execept one melted and caught on fire but I believe if we try again on a hotter day the cannon would fire just fine.

pbl-cannon cchavis: The Canister Shot

Cornelius Chavis
pbl-cannon ( 1900 century)

The Canister Shot

The Canister Shot cannon is a kind of anti-personnel ammunition used in cannons, that was similar to the grapeshot in which the canister rounds effect is similar to that of a giant shotgun shell. It was used= advent of gunpowder-filling artillery in Western armies frequently on land and sea, the cannon consist of cylinder metal canister filled with round lead or iron balls. The cannon normally packed with sawdust to add more solidity to the mass to prevent the ball from crowding when fired, while canister is dipped in lacquer of beeswax and diluted with turbine to prevent metal rusting. Iron was substituted for large caliber guns while, the end of the canister is closed with with wooden or metal disks, attached to the back was a cloth cartridge bag containing rounds of gunpowder charge to fire; and either sabot wood, metal or similar materials helped the firing accuracy which shot less than 400 yards. The cannon was very useful in the Civil and Napoleonic War as the canister disintegrates the shards and projectiles spread out in a conical formation causing a wide destructive impact.

pbl-cannon (1800 century)

The Hot Shot

The Hot Shot cannon is a process where a solid iron cannonball is heated red hot in a specially designed wood- or coal-fired furnace. Its then loaded into a muzzle-loading cannon cushion by a substance thickness of wet wads, and fired while still red hot. When this cannon hits it target it will set the target on fire, which was a very successful nearly all the time for base defense against attacks from wooden warships. It was carried by a 2-man litter and in the era of black powder the cannon charges contained in cloth bags, and occasioned much fanfare. It was conveyed to the muzzle as the red-hot projectile that would easily ignite careless handled loose powder.

pbl-cannon cchavis: The Round Shot Cannon

Cornelius Chavis

pbl-cannon (pre-1700 century)

The Round Shot Cannon

The Round Shot cannon is a solid projectile without explosive from fire arms or cannons. The cannon's design is spherical, its diameter is slightly less than the bore of the gun that it's fired from. It was the most popular firearm during the age of sail. being replaced after the invention by Benjamin Robin of the extruded bullet. Round shot has the disadvantages of not being tightly fitted into the bore and to do so would cause jamming in the cannon. This would cause the shot to rattle down the gun barrel and leave the barrel at an angle unless wadding or a discarding sabot is used. The Round Shot cannon has been completely replaced with small arms bullets and by modern shells in artillery.
